This NST Combo shows our non stress test at 36, 37, 38, 39, and 40 Weeks Pregnant. Our baby was diagnosed with a low gestational birth weight/size – so this test was done weekly as a precaution to monitor her heartbeat (heart rate) and movement.
NST non-stress testing – also known as fetal heart rate monitoring is a non-invasive and pain-free test to monitor changes in the baby’s heart rate as they move. Two belts are secured around the mother’s stomach; one belt measures contractions, the other monitors the baby’s heart rate. This 20-60 minute test is usually done when there are issues like gestational diabetes, pre-eclampsia, high blood pressure, gestational size or growth concerns, amniotic fluid level concerns, incompetent cervix, miscarriage, or the baby has gone past past their due date.
